It was July 2016 and Jasmine had just moved to Charleston SC for a job. She was newly single and had just reconnected with a long-lost college friend, Jerry (SHOUTOUT TO JERRY!). Jasmine and Jerry had not seen each other in years so she planned a visit to Charlotte NC for a weekend to catch up over food, drinks, and a night or two out on the town. Upon arriving to Jerry’s, Jasmine was introduced to some of Jerry’s friends and roommates. Patrick was one of those roommates, and Jasmine noticed him right away. Everyone made cocktails and played music while getting ready for a night out. While Jasmine did her makeup and listened to music, Patrick struck up a conversation. He expressed how he wasn’t a “Drake fan”, Jasmine expressed how nobody could NOT like Drake, and the two shared some laughs. They connected over common interests in food, whiskey, and neo-soul music. Though the conversation was alluring, something felt magnetic between the two. Since the day they met, Patrick & Jasmine have been inseparable! Fast forward to five years later, the pair now live in Charlotte together, love exploring new places and modern food spots together, and enjoy spending time with their beautiful and sassy two-year-old daughter, Paetyn Jasele. The couple are beyond excited to become Mr. and Mrs.!

Patrick is Native to Asheville, NC . Since Jasmine’s first trip with Patrick to Asheville, she begged him to take her to the Biltmore Estate. In December of 2020, just 3 days before Christmas, Patrick got the couple some tickets to go, and of course Jasmine was thrilled. But when the day came; it rained, they had no umbrella, and unfortunately the tickets Patrick had arranged to pick up for House entry sold out before they arrived. Luckily, Jasmine and Patrick were able to visit the Biltmore Gardens, Winery, and the rest of the estate that day. So the two walked in the rain together toward the gardens until they reached the South Terrace, with a covering from the rain and a spectacular view. Next, a random photographer (a photographer-friend of Patrick’s whom he’d hired) asked to take a photo of the pair together. Jasmine had no clue that the photographer was planted, that Patrick had arranged it, or what was about to happen.. Then Patrick got down on one knee, said he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her, and asked Jasmine to marry him.. so she cried, then said YES! At that moment, it didn’t matter to Jasmine or Patrick that they were cold, soaked from the rain, or that they never made it inside the Biltmore House as planned, because Jasmine could not have imagined a more romantic and perfect proposal.
